LAVA-1207 + interleukin-2 is a **combination therapy** composed of LAVA-1207, a humanized bispecific antibody engineered to bind the Vδ2 chain of Vγ9Vδ2-T cells and the prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) expressed on prostate cancer cells, and low-dose interleukin-2 (IL-2), an immunomodulatory cytokine. LAVA-1207 acts as a γδ-T cell engager: by binding both Vγ9Vδ2-T cells and PSMA, it triggers targeted degranulation and cytolysis of PSMA-expressing prostate cancer cells. Low-dose IL-2 is included to support the expansion and activation of Vγ9Vδ2-T cells, enhancing the immune-mediated anti-tumor response. This combination is in clinical development for patients with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) who are refractory to standard therapies[1][3][5][10].
