It is a branded generic formulation of the macrogol 3350 plus electrolytes combination, similar to the original brand Movicol. The product contains macrogol 3350 (polyethylene glycol 3350) along with sodium chloride, sodium hydrogen carbonate, and potassium chloride. It is indicated for the treatment of chronic constipation and faecal impaction in adults, adolescents (12 years and older), and the elderly. The mechanism of action involves macrogol 3350 acting as an osmotic agent that draws water into the bowel, thereby increasing stool volume and softening it to facilitate evacuation.
