LB-100 + docetaxel is an investigational combination therapy for cancer, consisting of LB-100—a **small molecule inhibitor of protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A)**—and docetaxel, a **microtubule inhibitor** widely used as a chemotherapeutic agent. **LB-100** disrupts DNA repair and cell cycle checkpoints by inhibiting PP2A, leading to increased susceptibility of tumor cells to stress and enhancing the efficacy of cytotoxic agents. **Docetaxel** stabilizes microtubules, causing mitotic arrest and apoptosis. Preclinical data show that LB-100 acts as a chemo-sensitizer, augmenting the anti-tumor effects of cytotoxics like docetaxel without increasing toxicity. This combination is being studied in clinical trials for advanced solid tumors, with initial clinical data from Phase 1 studies. LB-100 is developed by Lixte Biotechnology, and docetaxel is a long-established agent marketed as Taxotere by Sanofi[1][4][5][7].
