LB-DTK is an allogeneic, multi-antigen-specific T-cell (MST) therapy platform developed by Lucas Biomedical for the treatment of various viral infections. The technology involves the selection and expansion of T cells from healthy donors that are capable of recognizing multiple antigens from a single virus or multiple viruses simultaneously. This Dual-Target Killer (DTK) approach aims to provide a robust and broad cellular immune response, particularly in patients with compromised immune systems or chronic infections where endogenous T-cell responses are insufficient. The lead candidate, LB-DTK-COV19, targets multiple proteins of the SARS-CoV-2 virus (including Spike, Membrane, and Nucleocapsid) and has been evaluated in Phase 1/2 clinical trials. Other pipeline assets target Hepatitis B virus (HBV), Cytomegalovirus (CMV), and BK virus, primarily focusing on restoring viral immunity in post-transplant settings or chronic infection states.
