Drug intelligence / Profile preview
LB-DTK-BKV is an investigational cell therapy consisting of BK virus-specific T cells (VSTs) developed by LucasBio. It is designed to treat BK virus-associated hemorrhagic cystitis (BKV-HC), a common and potentially severe complication in patients following allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT). The therapy works by providing donor-derived or off-the-shelf T cells that specifically recognize and eliminate BK virus-infected cells, thereby reducing viral load and alleviating symptoms of hemorrhagic cystitis. It is currently being evaluated in Phase 1/2 clinical trials for pediatric, adolescent, and adult populations.
