Overview

LB-P4 is a live biotherapeutic product (LBP) currently under development by LISCure Biosciences for the treatment of neurodegenerative disorders, including Parkinson's disease (PD) and Alzheimer's disease (AD). The drug candidate functions through the gut-brain axis, leveraging the bidirectional communication between the enteric nervous system and the central nervous system to potentially mitigate neuroinflammation and disease progression. LB-P4 is currently in the IND-enabling phase, representing a microbiome-based approach to addressing the unmet needs in neurodegeneration.
