Overview

LB2103 is an investigational **γ-δ T cell therapy** engineered to target **BCMA (B-cell maturation antigen)** for the treatment of **multiple myeloma**. It is being developed by **Legend Biotech Corporation** and is currently in **preclinical development**. The therapy utilizes gamma-delta T cells modified to express a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) directed against BCMA, which is highly expressed on multiple myeloma cells. This approach aims to harness the unique properties of γ-δ T cells, including their ability to recognize and eliminate cancer cells through both CAR-dependent and CAR-independent mechanisms. LB2103 represents an innovative approach in cellular immunotherapy, distinct from conventional αβ CAR-T therapies.[1]
