LBL-015 is a bifunctional (bispecific) antibody fusion protein that targets both programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) and transforming growth factor beta receptor II (TGF-βR2). It consists of a fully human anti-PD-1 monoclonal antibody fused to the TGF-βRII ectodomain. The drug is designed to simultaneously block the PD-1/PD-L1 and TGF-beta/TGF-beta R2 signaling pathways, thereby reversing immune suppression in the tumor microenvironment and promoting antitumor immunity. By inhibiting these two key immunosuppressive pathways, LBL-015 aims to enhance immune cell responses and inhibit tumor metastasis. It is being developed for use in patients with advanced solid tumors who have progressed after standard therapies. Clinical studies are ongoing, with phase I/II trials evaluating safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and preliminary efficacy[1][2][3][4][5][6].
