LBM801 is an umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cell (UC-MSC) therapy developed by Shanghai Bosaimi Biotechnology and Shanghai Likangrui Bioengineering. It is designed for the treatment of knee osteoarthritis, a degenerative joint disease characterized by cartilage loss and inflammation. Administered via a single intra-articular injection, LBM801 aims to leverage the immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory, and potential regenerative properties of MSCs to alleviate pain, improve joint function, and slow disease progression. The product is currently being evaluated in a Phase I clinical trial in China to determine its safety, tolerability, and preliminary efficacy across escalating doses.
