LC-100

LC-100 is a long-circulating liposomal nanoparticle formulation of the chemotherapy agent doxorubicin, developed by LipocureRx. It utilizes a specialized nano-liposome delivery technology designed to preferentially accumulate in solid tumor sites through the enhanced permeability and retention (EPR) effect, which is characteristic of tumor vasculature. This targeted delivery system is intended to significantly reduce the exposure of healthy tissues to the entrapped drug, thereby improving the safety profile compared to standard formulations like Doxil. Preclinical studies have demonstrated that LC-100 maintains comparable anti-tumor activity to Doxil while exhibiting a superior safety profile. The drug is being developed for the treatment of various solid tumors, including breast, ovarian, cervical, endometrial, and prostate cancers.
