Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**LC106** is an investigational vaginal live biotherapeutic product consisting of six strains of *Lactobacillus crispatus*, formulated as a vaginal tablet at 2 × 10^9 colony-forming units per dose. It is being evaluated following oral metronidazole therapy for bacterial vaginosis, with the intended effect of establishing durable vaginal colonization by beneficial *L. crispatus* strains and restoring a Lactobacillus-predominant vaginal microbiome. LC106 was studied in the Phase 1 VIBRANT trial and is also being evaluated in a clinician-administered follow-on study of colonization kinetics.
