LCA-0061

LCA-0061 is a novel CataLYTAC degrader developed by Lycia Therapeutics. It is engineered to bind and catalytically degrade immunoglobulin E (IgE), thereby eliminating high levels of IgE from circulation. This mechanism aims to prevent severe allergic reactions and treat IgE-mediated diseases such as food allergy, allergic asthma, and chronic spontaneous urticaria. Unlike traditional anti-IgE therapies like omalizumab that block or stabilize IgE levels, LCA-0061 promotes rapid, deep, and durable suppression of both total and free IgE through targeted protein degradation using the lysosomal pathway. Preclinical studies have shown that a single dose can achieve near-complete elimination of IgE in non-human primates[4][5][9]. The drug is currently in preclinical development.
