Overview

LCAR-AMDR is an investigational autologous chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy designed to simultaneously target two myeloid-associated antigens: C-type lectin-like molecule-1 (CLL-1, also known as CLEC12A) and CD33. Developed by Legend Biotech, this dual-targeting strategy is intended to treat relapsed or refractory acute myeloid leukemia (AML) by addressing the heterogeneity of AML blasts and leukemic stem cells, potentially reducing the risk of antigen escape. The product consists of T cells genetically engineered to express CARs specific for both CLL-1 and CD33. Clinical evaluation has primarily occurred in China through collaborations with the Institute of Hematology and Blood Diseases Hospital (Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences).
