Drug intelligence / Profile preview
LCAR-BCDR cells are a universal CAR-T cell therapy developed to target B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA), a protein specifically expressed on mature B lymphocytes and plasma cells. Upon administration, these engineered T cells recognize and kill tumor cells expressing BCMA through immunologic cytotoxicity. The primary indication for LCAR-BCDR is the treatment of relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma. The product is being developed by Nanjing Legend Biotech and is currently in Phase 1 clinical trials[1][2]. As a CAR-T cell therapy, it represents an advanced form of adoptive cell transfer designed to harness the patient’s immune system against hematologic malignancies.
