LD Bris10 M2SR H3N2 influenza vaccine

LD Bris10 M2SR H3N2 influenza vaccine is a monovalent, live-attenuated, single-replication influenza vaccine candidate developed by FluGen. It utilizes the proprietary M2SR (M2-deficient Single Replication) platform, where the virus lacks the M2 gene essential for the production of infectious progeny. This allows the vaccine to undergo a single round of replication in the host's nasal mucosa, expressing the full range of viral proteins and inducing a broad immune response—including mucosal IgA, serum neutralizing antibodies, and T-cell responses—without causing systemic illness or viral shedding. The 'LD Bris10' designation refers to a low-dose formulation of the vaccine containing the A/Brisbane/10/2007 (H3N2) strain. It has been evaluated in Phase 2 human challenge studies to assess its efficacy against drifted H3N2 strains.
