LD002

LD002 is an oncolytic virus therapy being developed by Zhejiang Landun Pharmaceutical for the treatment of advanced solid tumors and non-Hodgkin lymphoma. It is a recombinant human adenovirus type 5 (rAd5) that has been genetically modified with a deletion of the E1B-55K gene. This modification allows the virus to selectively replicate within and lyse p53-deficient tumor cells while sparing normal cells with intact p53 pathways. Upon infection and replication, the virus induces direct cell death (oncolysis) and may stimulate a systemic anti-tumor immune response through the release of tumor-associated antigens and inflammatory signals. LD002 is typically administered via intratumoral injection and is currently undergoing Phase 1 clinical evaluation in China.
