Drug intelligence / Profile preview
LEAP-1121 is a contextually-gated (logic-enabled) antibody being developed by Ability Biologics for the treatment of autoimmune diseases. Utilizing the proprietary AbiLeap™ platform, which combines generative AI with in vitro screening, LEAP-1121 is engineered to act as a selective T-cell-depleting agent that activates only in the presence of specific disease-related signals. This mechanism is intended to provide high selectivity for pathogenic immune subpopulations while sparing healthy tissue. The drug is currently in lead optimization for inflammatory skin conditions such as vitiligo, lichen planus, and alopecia areata, with the potential for broader application across other autoimmune indications once human proof-of-concept is established.
