Overview

LEAPS-H1N1 is an investigational **peptide immunotherapy vaccine** built on CEL-SCI's Ligand Epitope Antigen Presentation System platform for pandemic influenza A, particularly H1N1. The construct links a T-cell binding ligand to influenza peptide epitopes derived from conserved, relatively non-changing regions of influenza A, with the goal of directing an antigen-specific cellular immune response rather than relying solely on strain-matched neutralizing antibodies. Public company and program materials indicate it was explored both as a direct peptide-based therapeutic vaccine and as an ex vivo dendritic-cell-based product candidate referred to as LEAPS-H1N1-DC for hospitalized patients with pandemic influenza. The program appears to have remained investigational and preclinical to very early clinical-stage, with no approved product identified.
