Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Lefukang Capsule** is an investigational oral traditional Chinese medicine herbal preparation developed by Chongqing Hilan Pharmaceutical for chronic pelvic pain associated with sequelae of pelvic inflammatory disease, particularly the traditional Chinese medicine pattern described as qi stagnation and blood stasis. Its patented formulation contains eight herbal materials: red peony root, bupleurum root, bitter orange, red sage root, sargentglory vine, corydalis rhizome, Patrinia herb, and dandelion. The proposed traditional pharmacologic actions are promotion of blood circulation, removal of blood stasis, regulation of qi, pain relief, heat clearing, and detoxification; a defined molecular target-based mechanism has not been established publicly. The product has been evaluated in randomized, double-blind, multicenter Phase 2 and Phase 3 Chinese clinical trials.
