Drug intelligence / Profile preview
LEGASED natur is a natural oral wound dressing and dental medical device developed by lege artis Pharma GmbH + Co. KG. It is a topical preparation containing a combination of herbal resins, including myrrh, benzoin, and colophony (derived from pine, spruce, and fir trees). When applied to the oral mucosa and moistened with saliva or water, the solution precipitates to form a protective, adhesive film. This film serves as a mechanical barrier against chemical and physical irritants and helps prevent bacterial ingress into wounds. Additionally, the myrrh component provides astringent and tissue-firming effects that support the healing process. It is indicated for dental prophylaxis, the prevention of periodontal disease, and the symptomatic treatment of aphthous ulcers, pressure sores, and various inflammations of the oral cavity.
