Drug intelligence / Profile preview
LEM-mR203 is an investigational mRNA vaccine candidate developed by Lemonex for the prevention of Covid-19. It is the first mRNA vaccine to utilize Lemonex's proprietary DegradaBALL drug delivery platform, a nanoparticle-based system designed to improve the stability and safety of mRNA vaccines compared to traditional lipid nanoparticle (LNP) systems. The DegradaBALL technology allows for pre-production and room temperature storage, potentially enabling rapid pandemic response. The platform aims to reduce systemic side effects and increase local retention at the administration site, thereby enhancing immunogenicity and minimizing adverse reactions such as those associated with existing LNP-based vaccines. Phase 1 clinical trials are underway in healthy adults to evaluate safety and immunogenicity[1][2][3][4][5][7].
