Lenon

Lenon is a branded generic formulation of levofloxacin, a third-generation fluoroquinolone antibiotic developed and manufactured by Citi Pharma. It acts as a broad-spectrum antibacterial agent by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase (topoisomerase II) and DNA topoisomerase IV, which are essential enzymes for bacterial DNA replication, transcription, repair, and recombination. By interfering with these processes, Lenon prevents bacterial cell division and leads to bacterial cell death. It is administered orally and is indicated for the treatment of various bacterial infections, including respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, and skin and soft tissue infections.
