Drug intelligence / Profile preview
LENTI-HCC-01 is a preclinical-stage, non-integrative lentiviral vector-based therapeutic vaccine being developed by Theravectys for the treatment of Hepatitis B virus (HBV)-induced hepatocarcinoma (hepatocellular carcinoma). Utilizing Theravectys's proprietary lentiviral vector platform, LENTI-HCC-01 is designed to target and transduce dendritic cells in vivo, leading to the endogenous presentation of encoded HBV antigens (such as the envelope, polymerase, core, and X proteins). This transduction elicits a robust, antigen-specific cellular immune response, particularly driving the activation of cytotoxic CD8+ T cells to eliminate HBV-infected cells and HBV-induced tumor cells.
