Overview

LENTI-MAL-01 is a preclinical-stage, non-replicative, non-integrative lentiviral vector-based vaccine candidate being developed by Theravectys for the prophylactic prevention of malaria. The vaccine utilizes Theravectys's proprietary lentiviral vector platform, which is designed to target dendritic cells in vivo and elicit a robust, long-lasting cellular (T-cell) and humoral immune response without the need for an adjuvant. Preclinical studies of the platform have demonstrated sterile cellular immunity against liver-stage malaria.
