Overview

Lenti-MELA-12 is an investigational lentiviral vector-based therapeutic cancer vaccine being developed by Theravectys for the treatment of melanoma. Utilizing Theravectys' proprietary lentiviral vector platform, which was developed in collaboration with the Institut Pasteur, the vaccine is designed to target and transduce dendritic cells in vivo. This transduction enables the endogenous presentation of melanoma-associated antigens, triggering a robust and long-lasting cellular immune response, particularly mediated by cytotoxic CD8+ T cells, to eliminate tumor cells and prevent recurrence. The candidate is currently in the discovery stage of development.
