LEO 90100 vehicle is the inactive aerosol foam formulation developed by LEO Pharma for use as a placebo control in clinical trials. It is the vehicle for LEO 90100, which is a fixed-dose combination of calcipotriol (50 mcg/g) and betamethasone dipropionate (0.5 mg/g) marketed under the brand name Enstilar for the treatment of psoriasis vulgaris. The vehicle contains the same propellant and excipient system as the active product but lacks the active vitamin D analogue and corticosteroid components. It is used in clinical research to establish a baseline for efficacy and safety, ensuring that the observed therapeutic effects are attributable to the active ingredients rather than the foam delivery system.
