Overview

LEO80122 is a small molecule drug developed by Leo Pharma, Inc. It has been investigated primarily as part of a combination topical therapy (notably in the formulation "LEO19123 cream," which contains both calcipotriol and LEO80122) for the treatment of skin disorders such as atopic dermatitis, eczema, and plaque psoriasis. The mechanism of action is as an agonist of the vitamin D receptor (VDR), making it a VDR agonist. This class of drugs modulates immune responses in the skin and can help reduce inflammation associated with these dermatological conditions[1][5][8]. Development for atopic dermatitis and eczema was discontinued after phase 2 trials[5][8].
