leritrelvir

Leritrelvir is an orally active, small molecule antiviral drug developed as a novel α-ketoamide-based peptidomimetic inhibitor of the SARS-CoV-2 main protease (Mpro/3CLpro). By inhibiting this viral protease, leritrelvir blocks the cleavage of viral precursor proteins and thereby suppresses replication of SARS-CoV-2. Preclinical studies have shown that leritrelvir has potent antiviral activity against various SARS-CoV-2 variants and maintains efficacy against Mpro mutants that confer resistance to other antivirals such as nirmatrelvir. Leritrelvir also demonstrates broad-spectrum inhibitory activity against Mpro from multiple pathogenic coronaviruses. Clinical trials in China have established its safety and efficacy for treating mild to moderate COVID-19 in adults. The drug was conditionally approved for marketing in China under the trade name 乐睿灵[1][3][5][6][7].
