let-7c mimic miRNA is a synthetic double-stranded RNA molecule designed to mimic the function of the endogenous let-7c microRNA. In preclinical research, particularly for Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), it has demonstrated antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. Studies using 3D intestinal epithelial models and patient-derived lymphocytes indicate that let-7c mimics can significantly reduce DNA damage and oxidative stress induced by hydrogen peroxide or interleukin-6. This miRNA is part of the let-7 family, which is known to regulate cell proliferation, differentiation, and immune responses by binding to the 3' untranslated regions (UTRs) of target messenger RNAs.
