Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Leucil is an Ayurvedic proprietary herbal formulation developed by Wilson Drugs & Pharmaceuticals. Available in tablet and capsule forms, it is primarily indicated for the treatment of gynecological disorders, including menstrual irregularities, menstrual pain and abdominal cramps, premenstrual syndrome (PMS), and uterine bleeding disorders. Additionally, it is used to manage recurrent urinary tract infections (UTIs) and burning micturition. The formulation contains a blend of traditional Ayurvedic herbs and minerals, including Ashoka Bark (*Saraca asoca*), Lodhra Bark (*Symplocos racemosa*), Ashwagandha (*Withania somnifera*), and Shilajit, along with various Bhasmas (calcinated mineral preparations) such as Bang Bhasma, Mandoor Bhasma, and Mukta Shukti Bhasma. These ingredients work synergistically to restore endogenous female hormonal balance, ease uterine spasms, improve endometrial vascularization, and provide astringent, anti-spasmodic, and anti-microbial effects.
