Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Levidcen** is a brand name for levetiracetam coated granules in sachets (250mg, 500mg, 750mg, 1000mg), marketed exclusively in France by Advicenne since October 2015 under license from Desitin GmbH. Levetiracetam is an anticonvulsant used as monotherapy or adjunctive therapy to control **partial-onset seizures** in adults and children (including infants ≥1 month), primary generalized tonic-clonic seizures in patients ≥6 years with epilepsy, and myoclonic seizures in patients ≥12 years with juvenile myoclonic epilepsy. It decreases abnormal brain excitement without a fully elucidated mechanism, available as oral granules for easy administration, particularly suitable for pediatric or patients with swallowing difficulties.[1][2][3][5]
