Overview

Levilactobacillus brevis KABP052 is a proprietary probiotic bacterial strain with high β-glucuronidase activity, capable of deconjugating estrogen glucuronides in the gut to release free estrogens, which can then be reabsorbed systemically. It has been clinically tested as part of probiotic blends to support hormone balance in healthy peri- and postmenopausal women, where it helped maintain serum estradiol and estrone levels compared to placebo. KABP052 also shows antimicrobial activity against oral pathogens and can colonize the oral cavity, contributing to oral health by reducing plaque levels. It has been evaluated in both oral and gut health interventions and is considered safe and well-tolerated[1][2][3][4][5].
