Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination of levobupivacaine, a local anesthetic agent, and tramadol, a synthetic opioid with local anesthetic properties. This combination is used for local or regional anesthesia and postoperative pain management. The combination provides synergistic analgesic effects, with levobupivacaine blocking sodium channels to prevent nerve impulse propagation while tramadol works through both opioid (weak μ-receptor affinity) and non-opioid mechanisms (inhibition of noradrenaline and serotonin reuptake).
