Overview

LFF269 is an investigational antihypertensive drug that was developed by Novartis for the treatment of essential hypertension. It is a new molecular entity and was studied as an oral capsule formulation. The mechanism of action is not fully defined in public sources, but it has been described as a selective inhibitor of aldosterone synthase (CYP11B2), which would lower aldosterone levels and thus reduce blood pressure.
