Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**LFGuard** is a preclinical prophylactic recombinant fusion-protein vaccine being developed to prevent human lymphatic filariasis. Its active antigen is the tag-free recombinant tetravalent *Brugia malayi* fusion protein rBmHAXT, comprising heat shock protein 12.6, abundant larval transcript 2, thioredoxin peroxidase 2, and the large extracellular loop of tetraspanin. The vaccine is formulated with the Al-T4 adjuvant, an alum-adsorbed Toll-like receptor 4 agonist, to induce balanced protective Th1 and Th2 immune responses against filarial infection. PAI Life Sciences has completed cGMP manufacturing and has been conducting IND-enabling preclinical testing; no registered human clinical trial was identified.
