LGD2941

LGD2941 is a non-steroidal, selective androgen receptor modulator (SARM) developed jointly by Ligand Pharmaceuticals and TAP Pharmaceutical Products. It is an orally available small molecule designed to selectively modulate the activity of the androgen receptor in different tissues. Preclinical studies have shown that it can increase muscle mass and bone density with minimal effects on the prostate compared to traditional testosterone therapy. This tissue selectivity suggests potential utility for conditions such as osteoporosis, frailty, male hypogonadism, and other disorders related to muscle or bone loss[1][4][2]. The compound has reached phase I clinical trials.
