Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**LGG-IL15-PSA** is a preclinical, genetically engineered *Lactobacillus rhamnosus* GG live biotherapeutic designed for cancer immunotherapy. The recombinant bacterium secretes a murine interleukin-15 and human prostate-specific antigen fusion construct, aiming to promote dendritic-cell maturation, T-cell proliferation, and prostate-specific antigen-directed cytotoxic T-lymphocyte activity against prostate-specific antigen-expressing tumor cells. In a murine orthotopic bladder-cancer model using MB49-PSA cells, intravesical administration was investigated as an alternative to BCG and was reported to induce tumor immune-cell infiltration and tumor cures in mice.
