Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**LGM mouthwash** is an investigational topical oral formulation developed by Ameritek USA for eradication of oral *Helicobacter pylori*. It contains lysine at 0.4% and glycerol monolaurate at 0.2%. The formulation is intended to eliminate oral *H. pylori*, which may act as a reservoir contributing to persistence or reinfection of gastric *H. pylori* infection. Lysine is described as disrupting the bacterial outer membrane, while glycerol monolaurate has direct anti-*H. pylori* activity. In a completed Phase 1/2 study, use of the mouthwash alongside gastric eradication therapy was associated with an increase in gastric eradication success from 61.33% to 82.26%; reported effectiveness against oral *H. pylori* infection was 72.58%.
