Drug intelligence / Profile preview
LH-1901 is a small molecule phosphodiesterase 4 (PDE4) inhibitor developed by Jiangsu Lianhuan Pharmaceutical for the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). By inhibiting the PDE4 enzyme, the drug prevents the breakdown of cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) in inflammatory and structural cells of the airways. The resulting increase in intracellular cAMP levels leads to a reduction in the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines and mediators, thereby alleviating the chronic inflammation and airway remodeling characteristic of COPD. LH-1901 is administered orally and is currently undergoing clinical evaluation to establish its safety and efficacy profile.
