LH031 is an autologous chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy developed by Guangzhou Lingsheng Medical Technology Co., Ltd. for the treatment of relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma (RRMM). The therapy targets the B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA), also known as TNFRSF17, which is a cell surface receptor highly and specifically expressed on malignant plasma cells. LH031 is produced by engineering a patient's own T cells to express a CAR that specifically recognizes BCMA. Once re-infused, these CAR-T cells bind to BCMA-expressing cells, leading to T-cell activation and the selective elimination of myeloma cells. LH031 is currently undergoing Phase I clinical evaluation in China to determine its safety profile and preliminary anti-tumor activity in patients who have exhausted standard treatment options.
