LHF-535

LHF-535 is a first-in-class small molecule antiviral entry inhibitor developed by Kineta, Inc. for the treatment of Lassa fever and other arenavirus-induced viral hemorrhagic fevers. It works by targeting the viral envelope glycoprotein, which prevents the virus from entering host cells and suppresses viral replication. Administered as a once-daily oral therapeutic, LHF-535 has undergone Phase 1 clinical testing in healthy volunteers, demonstrating rapid absorption, a long half-life, and a well-tolerated safety profile. The development of LHF-535 is supported by funding from the Wellcome Trust and the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
