LHNVD-110

LHNVD-110 is a single-composite peptide universal influenza vaccine candidate developed by Longhorn Vaccines and Diagnostics. It is designed to provide broad protection against human, avian, and swine influenza strains—including pandemic variants—by targeting multiple highly conserved epitopes from key influenza proteins (hemagglutinin [HA], neuraminidase [NA], matrix proteins M1/M2/M2e), as well as a universal T cell epitope[5][7]. The vaccine generates high, durable IgG antibody responses that bind and neutralize across diverse influenza strains in preclinical animal models (mice and pigs), with no signs of reactogenicity[3][5][7]. Unlike traditional strain-specific seasonal vaccines, LHNVD-110 aims to offer year-round administration flexibility and longer-lasting immunity. It is formulated with adjuvants such as AddaVax or ALFQ for enhanced immunogenicity[5][7]. The vaccine’s design allows for scalable manufacturing suitable for both human and animal populations. As of June 2025, it remains in preclinical development with a Phase 1 trial planned for early 2025[6].
