Drug intelligence / Profile preview
LHNVD-202 is a synthetic peptide vaccine developed by Longhorn Vaccines & Diagnostics. It is designed as a dual peptide universal vaccine candidate targeting both influenza and SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19). The vaccine comprises unconjugated composite peptides that include epitopes from highly conserved regions of influenza virus proteins (such as hemagglutinin, neuraminidase, and matrix protein) and the RNA polymerase of SARS-CoV-2. Preclinical data suggest that LHNVD-202 induces broadly reactive and durable antibody responses against multiple strains of both viruses. The primary indications are for the prevention of COVID-19 and human influenza infection[1][2].
