LHNVD-301 is an unconjugated, peptide-based vaccine in preclinical development by Longhorn Vaccines and Diagnostics. It is designed to prevent infections caused by antimicrobial resistant strains of *Mycobacterium tuberculosis* (MTB) and other gram-positive bacteria. The vaccine combines epitopes from MTB heat shock protein (HSP16.3) and peptidoglycan (PGN), a key cell wall component of bacteria, to generate broad reactive antibodies. This dual-target approach aims to induce robust immune responses against both tuberculosis and a range of gram-positive pathogens, addressing the global threat posed by antimicrobial resistance (AMR). Preclinical studies have demonstrated that the vaccine induces strong IgG1 antibody responses against both TB-specific and common bacterial antigens[1][4][5][6].
