lianbai

Lianbai refers to a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) multi-herbal formulation used primarily for the prevention and treatment of radiation-induced dermal injury (radiodermatitis), especially in cancer patients undergoing radiotherapy. The formulation is available as both a topical liquid and oral tablets. Lianbai liquid has demonstrated efficacy in reducing the incidence and severity of acute radiation dermatitis, as well as promoting healing in grade III acute radiation dermal injuries. The mechanism is based on TCM principles such as "clearing heat," "removing dampness," detoxification, invigorating blood circulation, and reducing swelling. The tablet form contains several herbal ingredients including Shishangbai, Gynura swinhoana (G.Swinhoanis), Oldenlandia diffusa, Caulis et Folium Schefflerae Arboricolae, and Prunellae Spica[1][3]. These herbs are traditionally believed to have anti-inflammatory and wound-healing properties.
