Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Liang-Xue-Di-Huang Decoction (also known as Liangxue Dihuang Tang) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formula primarily indicated for the treatment of hemorrhoid hemorrhage (bleeding hemorrhoids). According to TCM theory, the decoction is designed to "cool the blood" and achieve hemostasis. It is typically composed of several botanical ingredients, including *Rehmannia glutinosa* (Di Huang), *Scutellaria baicalensis*, and *Phellodendron amurense*. The formula is being evaluated in multi-center, randomized, double-blind clinical trials to assess its efficacy and safety in managing acute bleeding episodes associated with internal hemorrhoids, often compared against standard vasoprotective treatments such as diosmin.
