Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Lianqin Zhenzhu Dropping Pills is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed by Suzhou Zelun New Drug Research and Development and manufactured by Suzhou Wuzhong Pharmaceutical. It is approved in China for the treatment of acute pharyngitis, particularly for cases presenting with wind-heat syndrome, which includes symptoms such as sore throat, fever, and cough. The product is a combination of botanical extracts from *Scutellaria baicalensis* (Huangqin) and *Forsythia suspensa* (Lianqiao), supplemented with Pearl (Margarita) powder. These components work synergistically to provide anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antimicrobial effects by clearing internal heat and detoxifying the body. The dropping pill formulation is designed to enhance the dissolution and absorption of the active ingredients compared to traditional pill forms.
