Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Lianxia Ningxin Granule (LXNX) is a traditional Chinese medicine formulation being investigated for the treatment of coronary heart disease (CHD), specifically angina pectoris. [6] It is developed by The Third Affiliated Hospital of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. [6] The formulation is composed of nine Chinese herbs: Coptis chinensis (Huang Lian), Pinellia Tuber (Ban Xia), Orange peels (Chen Pi), Porio coco (Fu Ling), and others. [6] A clinical trial is being conducted based on the traditional Chinese medicine theory of "Heart Leading Blood Pulse-Mind". Network pharmacology studies suggest its mechanism of action may involve the regulation of G-protein coupled receptor (GPCR) signaling pathways and cellular protein metabolic processes. [6, 9] The drug is in the form of granules for oral administration and is manufactured by Beijing Kangrentang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. [10]
