Licartin + sorafenib is a combination therapy used primarily in the treatment of advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Licartin is the brand name for iodine-131 metuximab, a radiolabeled monoclonal antibody targeting CD147 (also known as HAb18G/CD147) on tumor cells. It delivers targeted radiation to liver cancer cells. Sorafenib is an oral small molecule multikinase inhibitor that targets Raf kinase and several receptor tyrosine kinases involved in tumor cell proliferation and angiogenesis, including VEGFR-1/2/3 and PDGFR-β. The combination aims to enhance antitumor efficacy by combining targeted radiotherapy with molecular inhibition of tumor growth and angiogenesis[1][5][8].
