Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Lidocaine + indocyanine green is a combination used in medical applications where lidocaine provides local anesthetic effects and indocyanine green serves as a diagnostic agent and photothermal trigger. This combination has been studied in controlled release systems where indocyanine green can trigger the release of lidocaine upon near-infrared (NIR) exposure, extending the duration of peripheral nerve blocks. The system allows for reduced instant concentration of lidocaine to minimize cytotoxicity while providing on-demand anesthetic release through photothermal mechanisms.
